Find a Food Bank
Kawartha Lakes Food Source is a central warehouse that supplies food to organizations that provide food to individuals in need. We do not distribute food at our offices. Below is a list of food banks in the Kawartha Lakes are that are there to help.
If you feel you need the assistance of a food bank, download the client intake form that you are required to fill out to qualify. When you visit, you will need to bring proof of residence, expenses & revenue, plus one of the following for each child you are claiming: Birth Certificate, Birth Registration, current immunization record, Health card or record of live birth.
Our members have agreed that if you have $200+ left over after all of your expenses, you do not qualify for emergency help. Our foodbanks/cupboards are not a “hand-out” but a “help up”.
